Salford - Reborn - Spartans After our first season out of the way, Salford have learnt a hell of a lot. We had always said that the first season would be a huge learning curve, and that it was. Picking up only a point all season was not how we wanted to fnish, but with a lack of commitment from te old team and alack-luster spirit because of that the team never really got going. Ric Sumner hit the nail on the head after saying... ..."we have never managed to field the same 9 two games running"... ...this was true across the whole season, in some games we only just managed to field the same 5.! This year however is different, this year see's new faces, a higher quality of play and a new name. Salford Spartans We have kept the commited core of last year and would like to welcome new players; Craig Dodgson, Nicholas McCreight, Glyn Rowland-Jones, Harold Marchington, Trevor Hughes & Andrew Reynolds.
